What does this file splitter do?

This browser-based tool divides a file into smaller chunks based on the size you choose. It is useful for handling upload limits, breaking large archives into manageable parts, or preparing files for storage and sharing workflows.

How splitting works

The tool reads your local file and slices it into binary chunks. Each chunk is downloaded as a numbered part file. You can use this to divide a large file into equal-size pieces, except for the last part, which may be smaller.

This version focuses on splitting only. It does not yet include automatic rejoin support, so it is best suited for workflows where chunking alone is useful.

Private browser-based splitting

Your file stays on your device while the split operation runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
